The environmental aspect of sustainability 

It is the entire organization’s responsibility to ensure that the environmental aspects of its activities are identified and that the negative impacts are reduced.  Sustainability means taking care of the planet by reducing our impacts.  At a minimum, all regulated activities should be in compliance with environmental regulations. However, Environmental Management Systems (EMSs) and other organization-wide programs can be integrated in your culture, demonstrating your overall stewardship for the environment.

Environmental Compliance Auditing - ACE can perform multimedia audits and evaluate facilities’ compliance with air, water, and waste requirements.  ACE can also work with your organization to develop and implement a compliance strategy to ensure future compliance with environmental requirements. 

Environmental Permitting and Plans - ACE can help you identify which environmental permits and plans you need based on your activities.  ACE can then assist in obtaining permits and can help prepare any required plans, including, but not limited to, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Stormwater Management Plans (SWMP) and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans.

Environmental Management Systems (EMSs) and ISO14001 - ACE can help your organization develop, implement, or perform internal audits on Sustainability Management Systems (SMSs) or EMSs, including those EMSs that meet the ISO14001 standard.

Green Action Plans - ACE can meet with various departments of your organization to identify activities performed that impact the environment.  ACE can work with you set goals and develop a Green Action Plan with recommendations to help reduce the overall environmental footprint of your organization's activities.

Speaking and Training - ACE can develop and deliver presentations and speak on your organization's behalf regarding sustainability initiatives and goals your organization has implemented.  ACE can also develop and deliver environmental training required by regulations or your organizations' programs regarding stormwater, spills, EMSs, employee environmental awareness orientation, and greening program goals. LEED - ACE can work with your organization to identify how your products or services fit into the LEED Standard and also help you market this information using LEED terminology.  ACE can also assist you in developing programs that will enable you to reduce water and energy consumption as you begin to journey the requirements of LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance.
